Regional Rail Revival – Gippsland Line Upgrade

The Gippsland Line Upgrade will deliver more frequent and reliable train services to the growing communities of Gippsland. It will also create more than 500 jobs in the region.

This project will allow for extra services during the peaks between Traralgon and Melbourne as trains will have more time to pass each other. This is due to:

• duplication of track

• extension of the Morwell crossing loop

• building second platforms at four stations.
